What's the BEST italian butter-cream you've ever made and what was the recipe?

I'm making an Italian Butter cream but first I'm fooling around and comparing recipes to decide which one to make... so what is your favorite most delish ITALIAN butter cream you've cooked up, and what is the recipe? thanx xoxxxWhat's the BEST italian butter-cream you've ever made and what was the recipe?
BUTTERCREAM





1/2 c. solid shortening


1/2 c. butter


1 tsp. vanilla


4 c. powdered sugar


2 tbsp. milk





Cream butter and shortening. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar. Add milk, beat until light and fluffy.

BUTTERCREAM





2/3 c. sugar


1/4 c. flour


1/4 tsp. salt, optional


3/4 c. milk


1 c. cold butter


1 tsp. vanilla





Mix sugar, flour and salt thoroughly. Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat and stir constantly until thick. Remove from heat and pour into mixing bowl. Cool to room temperature or a little cooler. Add 1/2 cup butter a little at a time, cutting into several pieces, and beat at high speed until smooth. Add vanilla and beat well. Chill for a few minutes before decorating.

BUTTERCREAM





1 lb. confectioners' sugar


1/2 c. butter, softened


1 tsp. vanilla extract


3 tbsp. milk








In large bowl, beat together sugar, butter, vanilla and milk until smooth. If necessary add more milk until frosting is spreading consistency. Mix everything well.


Chocolate buttercream frosting - add 1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa.
