Ingredients

2 ripe avocados

陆 red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)

1-2 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed, minced

2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped

1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon coarse salt

A dash of freshly grated black pepper

1/2 ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed, chopped

Garnish with red radishes or jicama. Serve with tortilla chips.

Method

1 Cut avocados in half. Remove seed. Scoop out avacado from the peel, put in a mixing bowl. (See How to Cut and Peel an Avocado.)

2 Using a fork, mash the avocado. Add the chopped onion, cilantro, lime or lemon, salt and pepper and mash some more. Chili peppers vary individually in their hotness. So, start with a half of one chili pepper and add to the guacamole to your desired degree of hotness. Be careful handling the peppers; wash your hands thoroughly after handling and do not touch your eyes or the area near your eyes with your hands for several hours.

Keep the tomatoes separate until ready to serve.

Remember that much of this is done to taste because of the variability in the fresh ingredients. Start with this recipe and adjust to your taste.

3 Cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole to prevent oxidation from the air reaching it. Refrigerate until ready.

4 Just before serving, add the chopped tomato to the guacamole and mix.

Serves 2-4.

Variations

For a very quick ';guac'; just take a 1/4 cup of salsa and mix it in with your mashed avocados.

You don't need to have tomatoes in your guacamole.

To extend a limited supply of avocados, add either sour cream or cottage cheese to your guacamole dip. Purists may be horrified, but so what? It tastes great. In fact, guac with some cottage cheese added to it is my favorite.

What's the BEST recipe for guacomole?
Our guacamole recipe is the basics a couple of avocados (2-3), a handfull of chopped cilantro leaves, half a small onion minced, a small tomato chopped small, half a lemon or lime, salt, pepper, and a pinch or two of cumin spice. If you want it spicy try adding a pinch of chilli powder and chop up a jalapeno or any pepper you like but make sure to take out the seeds and veins inside the pepper because that's where the hot stuff is at.

Hope this helps!
2-3 avacodos (depending on size) chopped

1 medium onion chopped or diced

1 medium tomato chopped

1-2 fresh jalepenos diced very small

1-2 cloves garlic diced very small

Cilantro finely chopped

Juice of 1 lime

Pinch of salt

Pinch of chili powder

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for an hour or two so the flavors have time to meld. Place one of the avacodo pits in the bowl. It will help keep the guacamole fresh longer. This is a chunky guacamole recipe. If you like it creamier then pulse in a food processor (remove the avacodo pit first though).
SALSA GUACAMOLE

Salsa:

1 can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen庐 organic fire roasted or plain diced tomatoes, well drained

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

1/4 teaspoon coarse salt (kosher or sea salt)

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

1 small fresh jalape帽o chile, seeded, finely chopped

Guacamole:

3 ripe large avocados (about 1 1/2 lb) pitted, peeled

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1/2 teaspoon coarse salt (kosher or sea salt)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

In medium bowl, stir together salsa ingredients.

In another medium bowl, place avocados; coarsely mash. Stir in remaining guacamole ingredients. Spoon guacamole into shallow serving bowl; top with salsa.

I make this for my famil at lease 2 a month...they love it hope you do too.

This is exactly how I make mine and people rave over it every time.

2 medium RIPE Avocados, halved, pitted, and removed from peel

1- 2 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice

1/2 cup Chunky Medium or Hot Salsa

1/8 teaspoon Sea Salt (regular salt is fine too)

Sprinkle avocado with lemon juice to prevent browning. Mash avocado with fork. Mix in chunky salsa and sea salt. Refrigerate until serving.

You have a few good recipes above. I just want to point out which recipies NOT to follow. Guacamole must have Garlic, Avacado,Lime Juice and Salt. If it does not at least have those ingredients, don't even bother. Cilantro and onion are nice touches. Not a big tomato fan in my guac but that's about personal preference.

Happy dipping
I add lemon and lime juice, Clinatro, Green onions. Sometimes I add chopped tomatoes and cottage cheese. Salt and Pepper
